Child Visa
The Australian Child visa applies to dependent children under 18, or dependent individuals over 25 who are unable to work due to a mental or physical disability, as well as adopted children or stepchildren of a sponsor.
Since children typically arrive in Australia with their parents, it’s essential to demonstrate the authenticity of the relationship to the Department during the visa application process.

Contributory Parent visa
The Contributory Parent visa offers another pathway for parents wishing to join their children in Australia without enduring a lengthy waiting period.
The processing time for this visa category is approximately 12 to 18 months. Parents must meet the balance of family requirement, and the visa necessitates a 10-year Assurance of Support (AoS) bond for applicants, which is payable during the processing of the permanent visa.

Contributory Aged Parent Visa
The Contributory Aged Parent visa provides an alternative for parents who wish to avoid the long processing times associated with the conventional aged parent visa.
This visa type has a processing time of approximately 12 to 18 months, with significantly more places available. The higher application fee contributes towards covering the ongoing health costs due to the applicant’s age.

If you are married, all of your spouse’s remaining relatives must be settled in Australia.

Parent Visa
The Parent visa is designed for parents who wish to migrate to Australia to be with their children. The application must be sponsored by one of their children, who must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident settled in Australia.
Among the Family Stream visas, the Parent visa application receives the lowest processing priority compared to other family members, such as partner and child visas.
To qualify for a Parent visa, the applicant must have at least half of their children living in Australia and must be under 65 years of age or not yet eligible for the Australian age pension.
Aged Parent Visa
The Aged Parent visa is similar to the Parent visa, with the key distinction being that the applicant is of an age eligible for the Australian Age Pension. As of July 1, 2017, the qualifying age is 65 years and six months for both men and women. This age will increase by six months every two years, reaching 67 by July 1, 2023.
However, reaching this qualifying age does not guarantee automatic entitlement to the Age Pension, as you must have been a permanent resident for ten years to be eligible for the Age Pension in Australia.

Aged Dependent Relative Visa
The Aged Dependent Relatives visa is available to single older relatives (above 60 for women and 65 for men) who are widowed or divorced. The sponsor must be an Australian citizen, an eligible permanent resident, or an eligible New Zealand citizen residing permanently in Australia. Due to high demand for family migration visas, only a limited number of places are available.
